My hair loss, I thought began with the accutane, but I have been off of it for a year. So I read this site and decided it was prescription for the bcp(it was the only new factor introduced after accutane). I was on ortho tri and after reading this forum I switched 3 weeks ago to new bcp, orthocept/desogen generic called Apri. I need the bcp for the acne and I see that going off bcp can be a shock. I have had TE since last October. I have bad and good days (washing seems to be a factor), my hairdresser noticed a change too. I was losing at least 100 before I left the house at 9am, I am afraid to count now. I think the Apri is helping. I have been on Spiro at 100mg per day. Sorry so long but my question is how long do you think the change will take for the body to recognize the new hormone level AND do you think spiro helps with TE? (Sorry so long)
