Tiffany, I am so sorry that I haven't responded sooner but I've been reading many forums and sometimes I forget where I am...
I am not even close to an expert on hair and I have no idea whether my TE will subside, but I can tell you that the excess stress and worry will make matters worse. I know...it is really easy to say "don't stress out"...but our bodies are hypersensitive to things and it may be helpful to find a way to become more relaxed. Perhaps Yoga (I did it a few years ago and found it very settling), perhaps therapy, perhaps a hobby...
Every morning when I find more hair, I instantly tell myself no big deal to cheat my psyche....even though I totally want to freak out. It is hard to feel beautiful when you suffer from hair loss but we must find a way to get past this self-hate. I think the hair piece is a great idea. I am sure it will look great. If not, try an elastic head band or a chiffon scarf when you go out in the sun. I have read from numerous people that the sun is the enemy. That's terrible news for me because I am moving from NY to Florida in 3 months.
Anyway, hang in there and I hope the vitamins work. I started taking a bunch of supplements myself and am keeping my fingers crossed.
