I was on Desogen for 4 years and went off it for 5/6 months with no problems.
Started a new pill in February, Levora - big mistake - and am now experiencing a horrible bout of TE. I have been off the Levora and all BCPs for about 2 weeks.
I had my bloodowork done 6 days after stopping the Levora and my androgen range - which I'm told normal is between 440 and 3020, came in at 3640. Doctors don't seem to be alarmed, but are trying to get me in to see an endocrinologist.
My questions are 1. Is it safe for me to go back on Desogen? 2. If I go on Desogen again, and go off in a couple years, could that prompt another round of TE? 3. Could my slightly elevated androgen levels be caused by the pill 6 days after stopping it(doctors don't seem to know) and how long will it take for my body to return to its normal hormonal levels?
Please, please respond. I really would appreciate any advice anyone has to offer. Thanks.
