Hi - I have been reading these boards for a long time, but never posted before. I have suffered severe cystic acne for 12 years. I'm 30 now, and have completely missed my 20-something years from hiding in my house. I have a husband and 5 year old son, and if not for them, I doubt I would still alive. My acne is such that I have 1-4 cysts at a time, and there is about a week or so every month when my face looks perfect. People don't even know there is anything wrong with me during that week! But since I had my son, everything has changed -- the cysts are worse, more frequent and last longer. I gained weight that has been impossible to lose despie dieting and exercise, and have developed inappropriate hair growth on my face and neck...plus I have been infertile for 5 years. My periods are lighter and lighter, and farther apart (37-40 day cycles now) and I skipped a period completely in January, for tht first time in my life. I have tried and failed every acne drug there is, including antibiotics, retin-a, azelex and even ACCUTANE, which I took TWICE at the highest allowable dosage, 80mg/day It screams of PCOS to me. I am beginning to understand that accutane and everything else may have failed me because my symptoms including the acne are being caused by my hormones. I have just ordered Diane-35 from hair2go.com, is this still a reliable source? I havent received a confirmation email yet, and am getting nervous. I want to start diane with the onset of my next period next month. I am thinking of ordering a second 3 month supply from another site, in hopes of guaranteeing that one will arrive. What site(s) would you all suggest?

Well, that's my story, and I will post here with my progress with diane-35 as soon as I start. I think I may start a website, as a diary of my use, in hopes it will help someone else.

I didnt mention that I would like to have another child someday, but for now if I need to get some quality of life, by clearing up my face. Besides, I'm pretty much infertile as it is anyway. I have read that Diane-35 may regulate your homones, like a jumpstart, so you dont need to take it forever, but that isnt what I've been reading here...

i am on my 8th month and i also got hair on my face but my doctor told me it's due to the rogain that i'm using at the same time. i dont know...
