For some reason I'm feeling really depressed about my skin at the moment. Although my back is looking better and appears clear in dim lights, it's still very bumpy and clogged up. My face is also still breaking out a lot. Even though my oil production is greatly reduced, and my skin a little dry now, I've got lots of blocked pores (like blackheads but a bit more bumpy and protruding above the surface of the skin a bit) which get infected very easily and refuse to budge. I'm worried that It's going to take months and months for these to clear.
Does anyone know if these 'bumps' will be eliminated just by the Diane 35, or do I need to use topical med to improve my results. It's really getting me down, because I am still breaking out rather a lot (it's non-cystic) and my forehead and chin keep coming up in lots of spots. It almost looks like a rash on my forehead. Would topical antibiotics help or should I leave my skin alone and let the Diane do it's work. I have quite iritable skin - Retin A just ripped it apart in the past. I'm reluctant to use oral antibiotics because I've used them in the past to great success but the zits returned after I stopped. Also, I dont want to compromise the contraceptive properties of the BCP.
I know it's only been two months and I need to be patient, but considering my acne is not of the cystic kind, I thought it would respond more quickly than this. Any help would be much appreciated.
