I have posted several times over the past year regarding my hair loss. I have been taking Dianette for over six years now to combat my hair loss. I think it has slowed the process, but I still have the see-through look on the top! I also take many other anti-androgens - saw palmetto, green tea, zinc, etc. and take biotin, iron, b vitamins etc. all in an attempt to reverse or slow the process. I have recently found an interesting article on Nizoral shampoo and have added this to my regimen.
I have also recently found an article on drospirenone the progesterone element of Yasmin the new bcp soon to be launched. I found the article on the Google search engine under drospirenone - archer.med.br - one of the articles under this website compare cyproterone acetate and drospirenone. For its anti-androgenic qualities drospirenone appears to only be a third as effective as ca. Perhaps you could have a look at this article and confirm that I am reading it correctly. As you all probably know, so much information is often difficult to read. I was thinking of changing to Yasmin on its launch, but if it is not as effective as Dianette, I will probably stay on Dianette.
Do have a look at the article - this website also has the Nizoral article. Take a look there might be something on there that helps one of you.
