Is Diane 35 suitable for young women?

Hi. I'm 19 years old and I have been loosing my hair for about 3 years now. I was on a birth control pill which I beleive might have caused my hairloss. I have stopped it 10 months ago but i'm still shedding. And now I'm wondering if a doctor would prescribe diane 35. Anyone?
