I was on Diane-35 for about 7 months to treat my acne and it helped a lot. I didn't get mood swings at all. Quite the opposite--I felt indifferent. It was weird because I am usually a very emotional person. But the first month after I'd stopped taking Diane-35, I felt really messed up, very depressed. It went away after a month. I am on my first pack of Alesse now and I am not reacting well at all. I'm getting frequent mood swings and it has made my acne worse.
How did you react to Alesse? If Diane-35 is making you depressed or moody, you might consider something else. It's not for everyone and sometimes, it's not worth the pain. I'm getting off Alesse once I finish this pack. I'm going back on Diane b/c it cleared up my acne and stabilized my moods.
I hope everything works out for you. Would like to hear what your thoughts are because I don't know anyone else who has taken both Alesse and Diane.
