Hi Tina: TE is diffuse but can have it "weaker" areas--such as the frontal hair line and the cowlick area on the back of the head (J. Roberts, Whiting) and also, with TE the crown can be SLIGHTLY worse than the rest of the head b/c most humans have less on their crowns to begin with (when compared to the occipital area) so when hair loss ensues--your loss shows up even more on this part of the scalp(Bergfeld, Kronberg). It's when there is a real discrepency between the two is when TE w/aga or just plain aga comes into the picture.
