Hi Lisa:
I have been reading with great interest all the info you have posted. When I look at these items, it would appear I have te. My fingernails have ridges and my hair loss has increased since I have seen them. I got them before and noticed hair loss increase as well.
Also my hair loss is very diffuse, my hair line is disappearing and my temples go way back now and the sides of my hair near my face is practically gone. My biopsy in 96 said it was te, and inflammation was present.
Now I am being told I have aga all over. I dont want ot get back on the aga thing here, but I am having a difficult time figuring what is happening. All hormone levels are fine. I am suspect of having lupus but i am not ill and blood work is fine except for a positve ana.
I have alot of those fine thin hairs that do not grow long. So I thought well it definately has to be aga. Its getting pretty bad all over. The nape area and behind my ears are another bad area as well as the frontal hairline and back.
i was taking the spiro but couldnt get past 75 mg without being so sick and suffering bad headaches. I was on it for 60 days and then noticed a signifacnt increase in hairloss(300 per day) so I assumed it was the spiro, i was getting pimples and oily skin as well.
Any insight would be helpful. I read the info that Whiting has written and I sometimes sound like te and then other times aga.
Im only 39 and my hair looks like a birds nest, because not one hair is the same length as the other ones.
this is frustrating and very upseting. I havent gone out of my home for seven years now because i refuse to wear a wig again, it was a very bad and traumatic experience.
let me know what you think. thanks olga
