Hi, everyone--- I really need advice. I have hair loss from Accutane (I was also on Wellbutrin and Prozac--- when I took the Accutane but I am certain that the hair loss was primarily from the Accutane). The hair loss started in 9/99 and continued for about a year and four months--- at first coming out in handfuls and then gradually slowing. This past January, I started Rogaine for regrowth--- b/c I wasn't getting any even though the shedding had stopped (only like a month earlier, but the doctor recommended I use the Rogaine to spur regrowth). Anyway, I have gotten a lot of regrowth on top but almost none on the sides (my hair loss is diffuse)--- then I found out that my ferritin was at 20, so I began taking iron pills. But--- I have been off anti-depressants for a while--- but I am just too depressed--- I am moving to a new city--- just graduated from college, and I need to be able to function normally/ look for a job/ apartment. Does anyone know if I will totally be destroying my chances of recovery by going on an anti-depressant and thus introducing a new drug into my system? I want to take effexor which I have taken before all this Accutane trouble with no hair problems. However, there are many people on the anti-depressants forum who have suffered hair loss from effexor. Help! Jessica
