I started 3 years ago on Synthroid 100 mcg. Then after ready an article on Armour I asked my doctor to switch me. It took awhile to get the dosage stable, but I was finally on 30 mg. Armour dosages are totally different from Synthroid.
At my suggestion, my current doc raised the Armour to get my TSH down. This threw my thyroid numbers all out of whack. He does not like Armour and convinced me to go back to Synthroid. I am back on Synthroid at 100 mcg. Dr. Bergfeld did a thyroid study on me so it will be interesting to see where I fall this time.
I was hoping that by going on Armour that I would see a difference in my hair. No such luck. Dr. Bergfeld said that switching thyroid meds would definitely cause hairloss. She asked me, "Didn't your doctor tell you this?" I just laughed.
