It could very well be the Desogen. Even though Desogen has a hair friendly androgen component, some people still lose hair from it. I was on 4 different BCP over an 8-9 year period and lost hair the entire time. None of my doctors attributed it to the pill. But having found this website and read all the other stories, I now know my hair loss was from taking BCP. I'm just one of those people who can't tolerate them at all. I quit the pill in January for good and am still waiting for regrowth recovery which could take 1-2 years. I suggest you discuss this with your doctor. You may also have a sensitivety to the pill. If you have to be on the pill for other reasons, you might want to try the new Yasmin. Supposedly, it is helpful for hair loss with an anti-androgen component. My personal opinion is that if being on any BCP causes hairloss, I'd go off them for good.
