Madalyn: Hi. Thank you for finding out that stuff about anesthesia, as I really need to know more about it. How is your back now?
I still "pass" for a normal head of hair but in the back of my head I have a "part" that slopes downward. Also, one could obsevere a bit of a see-through look in my frontal hair line. I lost hair after every surgery. I lost about 50% of my hair. I had dense hair to start out with. It took three bouts of TE before I was aware that I was indeed loosing my hair (and my mind too--lol). The surgery that I will be undergoing is breast surgery. I will be having scar tissue and capsule removed, it will take about 2 and 1/2 hours. The doctor says he will take large needles and inject them into my breast tissue, I will be sedated orally with valium. He claims he's never had a patient loose hair this way. I hope this is true.
Do you have I.V. sedation along with general anesthesia?
