The HCL I take has l300mg Betaine hydrochloride, 90mg pepsin, and 40mg of gentian root in 2 tablets. I take 1-2 at each meal depending on the size and protein content of the meal.
I have no idea about the lysine being too much in florisene. After my husband found the florisene online and said I should try it I started researching lysine. I did read that is it very good for the hair, but as far as amount I don't recall.
Everything I have read about florisene says it is balanced for iron absorption. I do know that previously I was taking some other iron and my ferritin was not rising. However, I had no idea I should be taking such high amounts. If I had been taking the same amount that is in florisene maybe it would have raised my level. I will never know.
Your ferritin level sounds pretty good, especially if that level was from 2 months ago and you have still been taking iron. I guess you are still wondering if your hair shedding is from the iron or surgery or combination. As long as your ferritin does not go over 100 I would think it would be ok to continue taking the florisene. In the meantime, the shedding may just stop spontaneously if due to your surgery. Did you have general anesthesia and alot of blood loss?
Yes, I am very excited that I may be at the end of very long and painful journey that lasted over 4 years. It had a terrible effect on my self-esteem and confidence. It consumed my life. It was always in my thoughts. I know many of you can identify with this.
