When I first started BCPs (10 years ago) I remember I did have problems on it. I talked to my doctor and was switched to a low dose pill, which solved all my problems. I would say go and get on it right now, but the truth is I don’t know how your body has reacted to it in the past and that is crucial. My feeling is that you’ve had problems with BCPs. Talk to your doctor about the problems you have while on the pill and read some of the post here regarding hair-friendly BCPs. The pill I’m on does fall under hair-friendly and I know I do well while on it. I know pill switching has been bad for some on the forum, so make sure you go over all your concerns with your doctor and between the both of you you’ll find the right BCP. Also try to see an actually gynecologist vs. a nurse practioner or general physician, after all they do specialized in women’s health. I hope this is helpful.
