Continuous bcp use and hairloss

Due to an ovarian cyst, my GYN put me on continuous bcp's (lo-ovral) for the last four years (no placebo break for period). No period has been great! But, my hair, which was fine and thin to start with is getting thinner and thinner. Minoxidil 2% is not working and also makes my scalp itch like crazy. I've read all over this forum how people start shedding when they go OFF bcp's. Is anyone else out there on continuous bcp medication? If so, have you experienced hair loss?
