I also agree that it's not that you are taking the pill with no break, it's the pill itself. I was on Lovral, Loestrin, Orthtricyclen and Ovcon for 8 years and had continuous hair thinning. My GYN kept changing the formula for migraines, but nothing helped--and I never suspected BCP was the culprit of my hair thinning until recently. I stopped taking them forever at end of January 2001. Still shedding a little more than usual and don't see much regrowth yet, but I'm hopeful. I tried Rogaine for a year and it didn't do any good (apparently, it really only works if your hair loss is genetic such as androgenic alopecia). Please get off the pill NOW or if you have to stay on it for other reasons, try Yasmin or Diane 35.
