Hi Erin,
From one former BCP user to another, I want to encourage you that it takes longer than you would think to regrow hair. My hair started really speeding up the regrowth around the 11th-12th month off the BCP. It just takes longer than you would think and longer than most docs suspect. But it will start come back in a few more months, I really do believe it. I also tried Aldactone at 100mg a day and it did nothing for me except make my hair drier (but it cleared up the acne). I was too tired all the time on Aldactone and wasn't seeing any results so I quit. I was on it over a year. My hair started growing more when I stopped it. Aldactone will effect other hormones as well...which could be problematic for some women. I think you're observations about thinning on the BCP were right on target. Hope everything works out for you!
