When did you switch to the new pill and when did you quit it? Normally, your hair doesn't react until 2-4 months after the trigger event (i.e. starting or stopping the pill). So if you switched the pill and 2-4 months later you started losing hair, it's probably from switching. The same goes for when you stopped. There may not have been enough time for your body to get back to normal between the time you switched and the time you stopped taking the pill and that could explain the continued hair loss. If stopping and starting the pill is the cause, it's most likely telegon effluvium (www.keratin.com) and is temporary with regrowth expected 6-12 months or later after the last trigger event. However, I would discuss this with your doctor (rule out any other factors, i.e. stress, recent surgeries, weightloss, thyroid, medications etc.) and have all your hormones tested, including full thyroid panel, just to rule out any other cause.
