Hi, hope you don't mind me butting in here, but I do need to comment on this. I had been overexercising prior to my shedding. I am still shedding (not as much, since I began Aldactone). I have seen a repro endo who has told me that w/out a doubt evercise has been a factor in the hair loss, and also in my loss of periods. He said that severe mental stress in addition to the great physical stress of jogging and kickboxing has really thrown my body off. It has raised my DHEAS levels by way of causing my adrenal glands to be overstimulated in their androgen production. He definitly thinks there is a correlation. He is working to block the androgens and suppress the adrenal, and has even told me that I should really cut back on the exercise, recommending no more than 1 hour 4 times weekly. Please don't get me wrong though, moderate exercise is wonderful for the mind and body, but I was overdoing it to try to relieve the mental stress (great cycle eh?). Soooo, I think that too much exercise is really bad for the hair, as it can cause an increase in androgens. Here is an interesting site to visit on exercise and hormones and hair loss: http://63.144.222.84/ap/messages/14/720.html?752187331 Good luck to you both, and I hope this helps a bit.
