wow!!! I cant beleive a doctor would say that spirolactone would not be the cause of hair loss. I'd get a new doctor sweetie. I take spirolactone, have on and off for years. It's a steroid that inhibits androgen production at the hair folicle. It makes perfect sense to me that your losing your hair. I take it for that reason. Good luck
