Hi Sam, It is hard for me to say when my shedding was the worst... I had been shedding for about 8 months before I started rogaine and I didn't pay that much attention because I didn't see a difference in my hair. I think my shedding went up and down but it was never normal. About 6 months or so after taking accutane I started to notice how much I could see my head through my hair and I started paying more attention. Then my doctor told me to go on rogaine, and that made my shedding MUCH worse and it stayed much worse for 2 months. I am not using anything to regrow my hair at this point. I have stopped rogaine, see my post above for why. I have stopped the topical medications. I am still on bcp but that is all. I don't take vitamins. I just try to eat well and be healthy. My doctor did a thyroid test and the hair specialist gave me a form to get my iron checked. Those are the only tests I have had. From reading this group for a while, I really believe that our hair loss is drug related and that there probably isn't a lot we can do other than stopping things that could make it worse, and waiting for the effects to end.
