I am so sorry you are suffering with this. Many of us are. You need to get various things tested. First, iron. Hemoglobin is not relevant and that is what your doctor tested. You need to know your serum ferritin. That's stored iron. It should be over 40 for shedding to stop and 70 or more for good regrowth. Second, thyroid. Thyroid is a big hair loss culprit. Should have a full array of tests done to make sure your thyroid is normal. Third, hormones. You should see if there are any hormonal imbalances. Also, think about whether there were any unusual events about 3 months before the shedding started (illness, surgery etc.). There is a lot of good information on the telogen effluvium site here too. Check it out. Good luck and keep posting for help. This is so distressing. I am on month six of shedding and so unhappy about it. I do know that my ferritin is very low and I am taking iron but it takes several months to get it up to levels where shedding will stop. I pray every day that iron is the answer and that it will stop soon. Good luck.
