Do you know what your current ferritin level is? If I were you I would get my level up to 100. Between 70 and 100 is a range where shedding should definitely decrease and regrowth start. Some people need to be at 100 for 3 months or so to see regrowth.
You said you have recently stopped the iron injections. If you are having heavy periods and not consuming enough red meat to make up for this, a multi with a little iron is not going to maintain your ferritin.
Your diet sounds good with lots of protein and veggies. I would guess that you are not at an adequate ferritin level to stop the shedding yet or have not been there enough time. I think an updated ferritin level would be a good thing to start with. See www.florisene.com It is the iron supplement I am on and I have been successful in raising my ferritin level. This would be an easier/safer way to raise your level if you need to. There is even a maintenance dose recommended.
I know it is hard, but try not to panic yet. You may just need to take a little more iron and wait for the increased ferritin to turn this situation around. Unfortunately this process takes time. Debbie
