Hi there, was on Spiro as well for about 8 mths. I stopped Spiro on the advise of a dermatologist who is the director of a hair loss clinic in my area, she affirmed that I did not have AGA but CTE, and told me to stop as Spiro as it wasn't doing a thing to help my situation. I tried weaning off and even stopped cold turkey around the 4th mth prior to seeing her and all hell broke loose I lost a tun of hair, so know that stopping was scary because I might have a lot of shedding but after speaking with the director of the hair loss clinic I knew I had to get off it..and I weaned myself off slowly tappering the dosage..but irregardless I found I still had shedding but it didn't seem to as bad as when I stopped cold turkey. Anyways to make a long story short..I would suggest weaning off very very slowly. Good luck.
