I am so sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner. I know how hard this is for you. I thas taken an extreme toll on my own life. But "luckily" what you are experiencing sounds like TE and will fix itself. However, why are you on aldactone? Who perscribed that to you? Have you noticed your hair getting worse or better on it? Aldactone is perscribed for genetic hair loss and not TE. Also, why are you taking the Synthroid? Is your thyroid functioning improperly or is it to counteract the Aldactone? While too little thyroid can hurt yourhair, too much can as well.

YEs, there is definitely emotional stree induced TE. You have gone thru a lot and this could very well be happening to you. I am so sorry for the loss of your grandmother :(. Now you are at a catch 22 b/c your hair lossis causing you stress and the added stress is contributing to the hair loss!!! It is so hard, I know.

TO answer your question- I am 25. I have unfortunately been experiencing hair loss since right before my 17th birthday. What doctors have you seen? Has the hair slowed since your last post? Are you on the pill?

Emma
