I don't know this as a personal fact because I have not seen her. But I've read on other forums band the doctory directory that it's an expensive appointment and she does NOTHING. Go to a good endo at the University of Chicago, an endo in that department treats female hair loss, I don't recall his name.Call the dept.

It has been my experience here on this site and keratin.com that I never really hear of dermatologists helping women with hair loss. I hear about women going to these "experts" and getting absolutely nowhere. It's been my experience through reading extensively that most female hair loss is a result of hormone disorders, low iron and/or anorexia. This is out of a dermatologist's domain of practice to treat these disorders that CAUSE the hair loss(except iron). Unless you have alopecia areata or dermatitus causing your hair loss, a dermo is a waste of money (unless it's your choice to see both endo and dermo, if you have extra money).

I would urge you to go to UC dept. of endocrinology.
