hi Jen. The Australian system may really differ from our labs. Can you post the norms the labs use. One needs to know the norms and where you are in the norms to say much that won't mislead you, I believe. Remember that people in US have many kinds of lab equipment and each has its own norming system and so even in the US we have to know the lab's ranges. That in mind, your ferritin may be low for one thing because at least in the US I have not yet run into lab ranges for ferritin that don't at least go to 105. They may exist. That would put you in the low part of the range and you want to be in the middle of the range at least I would think. Rushton did a study everyone quotes on here, but I don't think we know what ranges he uses in England. Only 3 tests in the US are standardized. you can really learn a lot on this site and also on keratin.com. Just keep in mind about ranges are dif. for each lab. I am too high in iron because I didn't know this. Bunny
