hi loulou. I used to take trinordial and started losing hair when I stopped taking it. I was told by a tricologist in the UK (whome I think is very good and trust) that Trinordial is a bad hair pill and CAN cause hair loss, as I believe can alot of the 'tri' pill (three different strengths of hormones in one month ) as opposed to the ones which contain the same levels for all 21 days that you take them. She said that ther are some birth control pills which are more hair friendly such as Dianette, which is diane 35 in the US this also contains an anti androgen so can possible help those with FPB.If I were you I would try everything you can to get a diagnosis you really understand from sombody you trust before you take any type of hormones. If you decide to use rogaine or not is a different matter as it is possible that whatever your diagnosis is that may be your best option. Maybe you could phone a practitioner in the UK for some advice, having to deal with a language barrier too must be making it so hard for you.Ther is a web site which may be usful: www.trichologists.org.uk. hope your situation improves soon.
