Is this what you're talking about when referring to hormone treatment? If not, please elaborate. My hairloss is due to menopause as well, and I am looking for a hormone treatment. Read the info below.

Treatments with a Hormonal aim. They are essentially indicated in women, considering most of their anti-androgenic effects. The Cyproterone Acetate (CA) is at present, the mostly used anti-androgen. It can be used with high doses (ANDROCUR). The pattern more often used in France associate the CA to a natural estrogen 20 days over 28. The CA can be used with low doses. It is about DIANE 35, containing 35 mg of ethinyl estradiol and 2 mg of CA. Effects are comparable to the combinations of 3rd generation estro-progestatives. Synthesis estro-progestatives are effective for the treatment of hyperseborrhea provided that we select combinaisons of low androgenetic activity. Finasteride, a specific inhibitor of the 5-alpha-reductase is in the process of experimentation. The dissociation of the effects produced according to receptors (type I and II), allows to hope for an action upon seborrhea and hair loss without any anti-gonadotropic effect.
