OK everyone, I just got back from my doctor and of course everything is normal. The good news is that my ferritin is 43 and it was 27 & 28 at the end of July, beginning of August. I've been on 100mg of Ferrous Fumarate (Palafer) daily for a little under a month. I think this is pretty impressive and I have seen my shed decrease a bit, so maybe this is why.

FYI, the thyroid tests I had done were: TSH 1.16 (.35-5), Antithyroid Micro & Thyroid Globulin, Antithyroidglobulin antibodies <20 (<40), Free T4 22 (9-23) T3 2.4 (1.2-2.8), Free T3 5.2 (3.5-6.5), Parathyroid 3.5 (1.3-6.8), Anti TPO 13 (<35)

Other tests I did were estrogen, progesterone and I'm right smack in the the middle of the luteal range for these values. My ANA's were negative, and my cortisol was 80 in a range of 27-180.

My pelvic and thyroid ultrasounds came back as normal. Although my thyroid is bigger on one side, it does not qualify as abnormal and there are no nodules on it.

I'll take these results to my naturopath for her assessment. My free T4 and T3 are at the high end of the range and maybe this is something that needs to be looked at. Anyhow, I wish there was a medical reason for my hairloss problem, but it looks like my original idea of AGA with a TE on top of it. I'll keep you all posted on my visit to the naturopath. I've left the GP with a prescription for Rogaine and Finacea Gel in hand. Haven't filled either of them yet, but at least I have them.
