Hi Amy. I'm glad you are doing well on your regimen! My DHEAS were done on previous labs and were the lowest possible number, as well my Free Testosterone was on the very low end of the scale. No one measured my serum Testosterone. Since I want to rule out any possible female hormone issues, I want to ask my n.d. to do the hormone testing on me.
My shed has decreased to about 70 on wash days and maybe 50 on non-wash, so I guess I'm averaging 60 + per day. It is still a lot for me especially when I see how thin my hair has become and how easily I can now see my scalp.
The most depressing for me is my hairline which is thinning so much and I'm sure its even gone back a little, its like I can see daily negative changes in it. I don't understand how this is possible when I 90% of my shedding is longer hairs (not bang length) Anyways, sorry for the complaints, but I'm not having a good day today.
I have diagnosed myself with AGA. My dermatologist agreed although she didn't do much to verify this. My n.d. thinks its hormonal, the trichologist thinks its iron, so I don't know if I'm coming or going. All I know is that I see miniaturization at my hairline and its freaking me out.
Anyways, I'll let you know how I get on at the n.d. tomorrow. Who knows, maybe we'll be partners in prostate health! D
