Thanks for your response. I'm curious to know if you re-gained all of your hair? Did you only have a diagnosis of TE?

I've been to multiple docs, including a few hair specialists, since this whole ordeal began. One of the hair specialists diagnosed me with a "mild" case of AGA, based off of seeing a few miniaturized hairs and a scalp biopsy. Three other hair experts, however, have disagreed with her reading of the biopsy.

So I've essentially been watching and waiting for many months now, taking supplements and trying to boost my ferritin. My shedding doubled three weeks ago -- in response to stopping the pill 4 months ago. The doc who diagnosed me with AGA, actually told me to hold off on starting rogaine for a while, and to "ride" the dread shed out. At this point, I fear it's never going to end. I'm inching towards rogaine -- but of course, fear that it will make the current shed even worse.

Have you ever tried rogaine? Thanks for your help!
