Regarding the shed of vellus hairs, there was a big discussion about this in the TE forum a while back. Apparently some of the TE ladies also shed these type of hairs and they don't have thinning hair issues.

I think that everyone has some form of miniaturization. In my travels I have read that most people's hair thins to some degree as they age, although not noticeably.

Have a look at the rest of your hair, do the hair shafts look uniform, or do you see some that are thinner than others? I think that you have a 3:1 ratio of medical professionals telling you that you do not have AGA, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Dr Price was wrong!
