Hi Annette - unfortunately, I have had my hormones testing multiple times in the 2 years and they have always come back in the normal range. I have also undergone hair analysis testing to see if I have any vitamin deficiencies. All doctors (5 of them) have said that the birth of my son kicked off the TE and that it would have to run its course. Bummer for me that the course is a long one. When I told the last derm I saw in June that I was losing a steady 100-125 hairs after wash/dry, she told me that I would not have much hair left on top by the end of the year. Nice. Most derms say that a 100 a day is normal. Well, for most of us on this site, we lose that in the wash/dry process alone...then our hair falls througout the day. Honestly, I'm not a proponent of Rogaine, but it has slowed by shedding down to about 25-40 in the wash/dry process. When doctors can't provide you with the answers, you get desperate.
