Hi there. This question came up earlier this month as a matter of fact. I found a study where they specifically were looking for hairline progress and found that Rogaine was also successful in this area and posted it in reply to Margo's question. For some reason, the posts have disappeared, but it did include a link to this info. Maybe Hairsite can help.
Hairsite, I've done a search on my name in this forum and can find the posts I'm talking about on the list (dated Oct 10), but when I click on them, I get a file not found message. Were they deleted for some reason?
Anyways, basically the makers of Rogaine are only allowed to say it works on the vertex because this is the area that they tested in the original trials. They can't claim to grow hair anywhere else unless they do specific tests on those areas, which means more research money etc etc....
