My friend is a derm and she said that if you are having generalized loss that you should apply it all over. It makes sence to me that you are loseing the most hair in the area's where the AGA is the most pronounced as that is what rogaine is supposed to help. If you are not having much of a problem on the top of your head then it probably won't affect your hair there. Look, you have already started so just see it through and see the results, it could take 6 months to a year. I know this could be a year of torture, but in the end it will probably be worth it. I read somewhere that in a sudy of rogaine useres vs. non users that those on rogaine had better hair (less loss) than the non users after a 5 years period.
I should start, but I have other issues (such as my white hair, rogaine will yellow it and the texture is like cotton or fuzz and rogine will dry it out even more). I am known for my white hair, and I don't want to mess it up. I may be known as the balding woman, but I will probably resort to a wig or some sort of system eventually. Heck, I may even give up and try rogaine. I am having my homones checked in Dec. and am hoping to find something there.
Hang in there, don't give up now. Jean
