Ahab and others, As you probably know, lysine is an amino acid, which is a constituent of a protein molecule. There are many such nutrients that play a role for our skin, vitamin C being very important for collagen, cysteine is probably the most important for hair, among many others.
These are not gonna solve MPB hairloss. If you are deficient, nutritionally speaking, in one of the nutrients that is helpful for hair, then you could experience help when that lacking nutrient supply is replenished.
But the problem in the first place will not be MPB. It will be an overall problem, such as loss of shine, hair loss or slow regrowth, poor regrowth, etc. It will occur all over the head. MPB is strictly genetics combined with testosterone. I carry the genetic code for baldness - my dad was very bald. But unlike my dad, I have an extremely low testosterone level, which is why I still have the vast majority of it.
Again, nutritional deficiencies will cause your overall hair to look horribly unhealthy, but does not cause MPB.
