Think of what it must have been like for someone to start losing their hair as a teenager back in the 1960's.

And then to watch their baldness progress for DECADES without the internet, with years between hearing even the faintest rumor of research anywhere in the world.

And if you think baldness gets little understanding from family, friends, and society at large now--you should have experienced attitudes decades ago.

It wasn't pretty, no sir.
