Open forums will be closed every time our readers attack each other and start using derogatory comments in the posts.

Individuals who are sincere about getting support from fellow posters should use TK's Private Support Forum. We now have the venue for a password protected support group so there is no reason you have to go to the open forum and complain that the environment is not conducive to facilitating genuine support for one another.

HairSite does not condone maneless's incessant attacks and constant use of derogatory comments against fellow posters. But in all fairness to maneless, I have asked maneless privately to tone down his language and stop using the subject line for his entire comments several weeks ago. Maneless did make an effort to accommodate my request and I commend him for at least taking the initiatives to soften his remarks recently until someone provoked him relentlessly in Support Forum # 7 on May 29th while maneless was engaging in a nonabrasive discussion with someone.

People who come here for the sole purpose of provoking maneless in order to prove a point are as much to blame as maneless' behaviors.

Individuals who have been attacked by others in the open forums should email HairSite@aol.com to have the post removed instead of retaliating with vulgarity.

HairSite is in no position to judge who is right or who is wrong in a dispute. If you retaliate with vulgarity against a personal attack launched against you by someone, you are at fault as much as the poster who attacked you in the first place. Again, email hairsite@aol.com to have the post remove.

Individuals who wish to have a more private, focused and proactive support discussion with fellow members should use TK's private support group (a sub forum of the Member's Forum). If you do not have access to TK's private support group, email tk_four_two_one@hotmail.com

Individuals who wish to vent their anger and frustration loud and clear should use the open support group, as long as the post does not involve derogatory remarks or personal attacks.

It is perfectly all right if you feel that the only way to balance your life is to whine and complain about your current situation. HairSite is not here to dictate and judge how people should balance their lives. If that works for you, great. Feel free to use the open forums. Just make sure that you do it without having to resort to vulgarity or personal attacks.

The reality is that the world is made up of all kinds. HairSite has no intention to polish every single forum to pretend that we are all grad students working on our thesis. We already have a Member's Forum for that purpose, although as of now we are still testing the new format for acceptance rather than conducting serious discussions on hair loss.

Everyone who is registered in the Member's Forum will be treated with a clean slate regardless of the person's past behaviors in our open forums. However, individuals who violate basic forum etiquette in the Member's Forum will be denied access immediately.

Remember, if you allow yourself to be engaged in a dispute focused on personal attacks and vulgarity, both you and the original poster are at fault. If someone attacks you in the open forum, email hairsite@aol.com and we will remove the post.
