The overall level of success when comparing Tissue Engineering and Gene therapy clearly gives the upper hand to TE.

Dogs were given TE created bladders recently. They worked fine. Human experiments in 2 years.

There is hope that assorted spinal injuries may be curable by use of stem cells within five years.

It is the goal of TE to "build" hearts and livers within ten years. They have grown ears, already. A thumb this year. Corneas. Skin galore. Brain cells show promise. Heart valves have been sucessfully built and function inside of actual humans today.

I could go on and on. TE is the revolution now, GT is the one next.

BUt because you are using one's own genetic make up, the FDA will not impede this as much. And the silly Greens will be less able to use Luddite assaults on it. (They'd like us all living in huts. Except them. They get to keep their volvos and sail boats.)

Good luck with GT. HM will be here first, I think that is patently obvious and no pun intended.
