Actually it's a fact that SKB has its own hair loss drug in clinical trials, it is not Dutasteride they are talking about. Half a year ago or so SKB moved into Phase II trials with a drug that is actually quite similar to Minoxidil. However it is rumored that this drug is 1000% more effective in increasing the blood flow in the scalp. That does NOT mean that it grows 1000% more hairs than Minoxidil. However the news you are presenting is encouraging. Apparently it is significantly better than Minoxidil. I also think that Glaxo maybe pulled the plug of the hair loss version of dutasteride because they have now merged with SKB and maybe SKB's drug is more effective in regrowing hair than dutasteride. If so bringing dutasteride to the market for hair loss would be complete BS. Buyers would certainly switch between SKB's drug and dutasteride. This would be a huge loss for GSK ("cannibalism") because both products belong to them. Just a thought.
