Hello friends...

I usually don't post often in here and I do agree that there is a lot of bullshit in this forum. There are about 10 people that I consistently read accurate reports from here and the rest is pure speculation.

Here are some of my viewpoints.

Glaxo presented 6 slides during their big February investors meeting regarding Dutasteride. While they did make comment to the BPH submission, the focus of this effort was clearly for hair loss. Dr. Sawaya has also stated that this is a good sign regarding the company's potential decision to move forward for hair.

Some people here have been posting that the drug may have been halted for BPH as well. I think Shafted did a good job on his homework with his post a few days ago. As it stands Glaxo only has a handful of drugs poised for launch in 2002 and Dutasteride is slated to be one of them (for the prostate).

I think we will get our hands on it in the next 8 months or so and I do not believe you will have to take 5 pills to get the required dose. I have the inclination that 2 pills (1mg) will get us very close to the results of 2.5mg. The margins would be very thin at that point between the two.

I am not sure where Hairsite came up with this new rumor and I wish they would verify it before they start causing heart attacks, but I guess the best thing to do is either call Glaxo yourself or sit tight and enjoy the sunshine.
