This is from an interview in that mag with Martin Unger, Walter's brother.

I quote from him, following:

NHJ: What about hair visection and hair cloning? Is either of these on the horizon?

MGU: Not for a long time. People are working on cloning, but they have been working on it for more than ten years now. With a blood transfusion, you’re only looking at three major antigens, the A-factor, the B-factor, and the Rhesus-factor. With tissue transplantation, you’ve got 26 major antigens that you have to match as best you can. Doctors have to do this for every liver and kidney transplant or other major surgery - and the person’s life depends on getting it right. But no one’s life depends on having hair. There are a lot more important things that are going to take precedence over hair.
