Actually, I am looking at this from a patient's point of view. I will be interested in having the procedure done when it becomes available. There is no way that I would trust a barber to make injections into my scalp (no matter how small). You're right nurses, paramedics etc... are all physically able to inject and they have some medical knowledge. However, you have to have a physician on-hand (or not too far away) just in case something goes wrong. I also feel that I am not alone and that many other people would feel uncomfortable to have this procedure done in a non-medical setting. Also remember that no matter how minimally intrusive HM will be it will still require some small amount of local anesthetic. Who is going to administer this and monitor the patient for possible complications which are rare but are KNOWN to occur in 1-10% of the population depending on the type of anesthetic used.
