Safflower oil is the 2nd highest oil in omega6, just slightly behind primrose oil, but 10 times cheaper, so it is by far and away the best source for it. Just do not cook with it. It is okay to pour it on cooked foods, as long as you do not subject it to the actual heat from cooking. It can be mixed with anything that is mixable, so any type of oatmeal-like cereal, mashed potatoes, whatever has the consistency that would accept oil. The oil has little taste, and it changes the food to a slightly smoother texture, which is generally preferred. It is one of the easier things to add to the diet, in terms of affecting what you eat, or how it tastes.

You might want to look for one that has been fortified with vitamin-E, to help keep it from being oxidized.
