Were you trying to lose weight with your dietary changes or just trying to be healthier in general? I often think that women don't realize the importance of protein in their diets when trying to lose weight. When I took of the 50 pounds, I actually ate a lot less healthy than I do now. I concentrated on the absolute most carbs I could have. I also ate veggies and a lot of fruit, but protein was low on my list because it wasn't "filling". I no longer eat to maintain weight loss, but to help maintain hair which means protein and essential fats like you said. I am very interested in what you said about nutritionally correcting thyroid and getting off the meds. Some claim that synthyroid and levothyroid lend to hairloss. The armour is supposed to be ok, but it's a no-get in my podunk town. Thanks for all of your suggestions.

I'm making an appointment with an endo this week. Can you think of some questions that I should ask that I may not have thought of. I doubt many doctors recommend diet instead of some drug, but perhaps I'm wrong.
