This tissue engineering stuff is mind boggling. I read one of your links where they have been able to produce the biochemistry of very young skin and fill in wrinkles by 27 percent. I suppose as a preventative measure this skin cream is going to be evan more awsome.

It is freaky really. In 30 years, instead of being old and worn out, we might have a teenage hairline, teenage skin, teenage internal organs, and a new hippocampus in our brain. Some people may never grow old because if they can keep swapping out the parts and lengthen their lives long enough, science might just figure out how to dramatically slow, or reverse the aging process. I suppose in a world like this, if you want to have a child, you would probably have to stop treatment and allow yourself to die, or the world would overpopulate in a hurry.

In the future (probably not my own as I truly believe I was born a bit to early to make it)there is a possibility that man will be part flesh and part machine (much more so than now). I have seen studies where scientists already have chips that interact with and are controlled by the chemical-electrical signaling of human cells. What will be odd about it is that machine robots might be created who's only difference to us, is that they don't have a soul.

One scientist explained this way: "In order to compete with machines, we will keep adding mechanical parts to ourselves until we get too old and finally die, but we will not be aware of the moment that the human in us died, and the robot in us completely took over because the machine brain will have programmed itself with our own concious".

This stuff is weird. Like I say, I think we were born a bit too early to see most of it. If we were born 50 years from now, things could get really freaky. I'm going to hang on as long as I can because I want to see just how weird it gets.
