I think the most interesting thing here is that Unger has confirmed that regeneration of shrunken follicles is possible. This seems to be a different technique than Gho is using. Gho seems to be growing brand new follicles. At least this is what his last answers seemed to have stated, although there was some leadway for misinterpretation, or perhaps him covering his tracks as to what he is actually doing.

To tell you the truth, I would way rather have my old follicles stimulated to grow thick original hair that is DHT resistant than generate a bunch of new follicles in my head around my shrunken follicles. This is getting one's true hair back and is the most exciting news I have heard in a long time. Original density, hairline and a perfect swirl on the crown seems to be a realistic possibility with this technique. I was just contemplating yesterday how one would go about getting proper direction in the crown area with new follicle generation. Well, I geuss the Unger technique, if it works, should solve this dilemna. Does anyone know if it is possible to obtain copies of the studies Unger has done on mice?

I think this is great news. If indeed Gho is stimulating new follicles and Unger is regenerating existing follicles, I will personally hold out for the Unger technique. Even if it takes a few more years. This is the first time I have ever actually given Unger serious consideration in the race, but now it looks as if he is a definite contender. The best news is that he is not selfish about sharing the results of his experiments. It sounds as if he is going to be giving bi-annual updates, so in less than six months, we should know if the MPB hairs are regenerating! Also, it seems as though the problem of partially formed follicles in the form of miniature pigmentation cysts that were shown in the Jahoda experiments very well might not be a problem with the Unger technique.

The only people who this technique might not help are those who have been bald so long that their hair orificies have scarred over. Even this is debatable though.

I think that Gho's technique can be thought of as Hair Multiplication. He is allegedly taking DHT resistant cells from the back of the head and multiplying them by growing new follicles in the balding areas.

I think that Unger's technique can be thought of as hair rejuvination. He is allegedly substituting DHT resistant DP cells into old follicles and causing the old follicle to morph into a copy of the follicles on the back of your scalp.

Like I say, the Unger technique holds the promise of getting a MPB resistant version of your real hair back. Also the hair on the mice seemed to have cycled for a lifetime.

Things are definitely heating up. Even though DF is only a made up technique by some bored balding school kid, if it were a real technique as described, I would hold out for Unger. This will be a superior technique when perfected. Uh-oh, now RL is going to change his story and claim he is doing the Unger technique. I have to watch what I say to these Juvenile Delinquents around here.
